Don’t be afraid of making unpopular decisions. If you as a manager don’t, no one will! Many decisions made by managers are unpopular – they force someone to exert themselves more, stick to the rules or give status reports on the work. Even handing out bonuses may seem to some as a screaming injustice. In other words, we as managers believe in what we’re doing, explain why we do it and support employees as much as possible…and we keep on making unpopular decisions.
